Free Evening Lectures

GRIP is very pleased to have partnered with sponsoring genealogical societies to provide evening lectures the week of the Institute. On four evenings, Monday, July 23 through Thursday, July 26, lectures will be presented, each sponsored by a different society. The public is welcome to attend. Be sure to stop by the society’s information table where memberships and books and other items for sale may be displayed.

Monday, July 23, is sponsored by the Great Lakes Chapter of the Association of Professional Genealogists. Pamela Stone Eagleson, Certified Genealogist, will present “Telling the Tales: Writing Your Family Narrative.”

Tuesday, July 24, is sponsored by the North Hills Genealogists. Rick Sayre, Certified Genealogist, and Pamela Boyer Sayre, Certified Genealogist, Certified Genealogical Lecturer, will present a dual screen presentation on “Google Earth for Genealogists.”

Wednesday, July 25, is sponsored by the Western Pennsylvania Genealogical Society. Rick Sayre, Certified Genealogist, will do a two-hour presentation on researching in Pennsylvania.

Thursday, July 26, is sponsored by the Genealogical Society of Pennsylvania. Bruce Klein of Photo Antiquities will do an interactive demonstration on dating photographs.
