It has finally come! GRIP 2013 is this coming week. Preparation and anticipation abound for the over 175 people involved in this once-a-year event. Registration begins on Sunday, July 21, at 3 p.m. At 5 p.m. dinner will be served in the cafeteria followed by an orientation which will include door prizes. After that both the ProGenStudy group and the Boston University Genealogy Research course alumni will each meet in person–very important for these virtual educational options.
Maia’s Bookstore will be open from Monday morning through Thursday at 7 p.m. in the College Center Square outside of the cafeteria. The public is welcome to come on in and browse the books.
We wish to thank our evening lecture sponsors: Great Lakes Chapter of the Association of Professional Genealogists (Monday), North Hills Genealogists (Tuesday) and Genealogical Society of Pennsylvania (Thursday).
Please follow us on Facebook where students are also talking about their experiences and working out shared transportation. Students may also post a comment under “Student Share” on the GRIP webpage.
GRIP will be announcing the 2014 courses at the orientation on Sunday. Look for the list to be on the website after GRIP. Some courses never before offered are included. Stay tuned for the announcement!
