GRIP would like to help you save money with the following information on discounts and free webinars. The early bird registration rate of $425 for the GRIP institute week-long courses ends at day-end on Friday, May 13, after which the regular rate will be $450. Many courses teeter on the filled/one seat left capacity line. For the ones that are full, there are wait-list links on the Registration page, but no one is on the class lists currently. As we approach the institute weeks in June and July, registrants’ plans do change, so don’t be afraid to submit a wait-list request.
A free webinar on Friday, May 13, at 2 pm eastern (11 am Pacific) will be given by GRIP co-director Elissa Scalise Powell, CG, CGL, titled “Messages from the Grave: Listening to Your Ancestors’ Tombstones.” Sign up for this free Legacy Family Tree webinar and then enter the Go-to-Webinar “room” early as it is bound to be popular! GRIP has donated a door prize of $100 off a new 2016 registration to be awarded at the end of the webinar among the live participants. There will also be a special coupon for all webinar listeners.
A free webinar is being co-sponsored by GRIP and the Virtual Institute of Genealogy Research (VIGRgenealogy.com) on Thursday, July 21 at 7 pm. Michael Hait, CG, will present “Finding and Using Online Legal Resources” live from GRIP with a virtual audience for which you can pre-register. To see more about this free evening lecture and others, please see the GRIP Free Programs page. There is no need to pre-register if you will be attending the evening programs in person.
It was wonderful seeing many of you at the Ohio Genealogical Society and National Genealogical Society conferences the past two weeks. It is always great to talk about our terrific instructors and unique courses-both this year’s and next. Feel free to email us with any further questions you may have.
