In just two weeks, GRIP will be held and over 100 eager genealogy students will be soaking up the wisdom of their instructors. They will be networking and enjoying this common interest together with their classmates. And they may even run into cousins they did not know of previously. They will be busy with homework, or browsing the books displays by Maia’s Books of Columbus, Ohio, or chatting with new-found friends in the dorm lounge or gardens. In addition, optional evening activities will make the week in Pittsburgh fly by fast.
A few notes for those who are coming. The college contact corrected my understanding of what is included in the dorm: bath mats will be provided along with a blanket, two sheets, a pillow, a pillowcase, a towel, and a washcloth.
We would like to feature student blogs on this website if you will be sharing your GRIP experience. Please send an email to us with your name, blog name, and URL.
If you want to share your experience on Facebook, you can like us on our Home page and comment there. We also have a LinkedIn page at http://www.linkedin.com/company/genealogical-research-institute-of-pittsburgh. Come and visit!
We do have some seats left in three courses and some very disappointed people who had to cancel due to a change of plans. We hope to see them on campus next year. In the meantime if you know of anyone who would like to enroll, have them do it quickly!
See you soon!
